In the past, November 12 was being touted as the date on which iOS 4.2 is supposed to arrive – thats today. With no signs of Apple yet to launch the update, there are some rumors emanating about the possibility of it being delayed by a week or so – thanks to a bug noticed with Wi-Fi connectivity on iPads running iOS 4.2.
According to a report that appeared on a German publication, Apple is still working on to fix the issue which has apparently been discussed at length over at Apple discussion forums after the GM edition of iOS 4.2 was released. The Wi-Fi related bug throws up issues for iPad users who wishes to connect to a local network. Once connected, people have also reported about intermittent breakages as well. Apple is expected to fix this issue today and a new GM version would be released. This version would be tested for about a week before the final version is released for us mere mortals.
While this surely might be bad news for all of you who were looking forward to the update, it’s just a matter of one more week! That said, let us also not forget that this is just a rumor.
